| Mission | to improve the lives of children orphaned by HIV/AIDS in central China, especially Henan Province. |
| Activities | Activities include fundraising, research, education and advocacy, and grants to organizations serving the affected populations in China. Funding priorities include: 1. Education for AIDS orphans. 2. Humanitarian services to families affected by HIV/AIDS. 3. Medical care and training. 4. Foster care and orphanage programs. Proposals are accepted by invitation only. The Fund, established under the auspices of The Minneapolis Foundation, and now a separate 501(c)(3) non-profit, gives grants to non-governmental, non-profit organizations. Give2Asia, established by the Asia Foundation to facilitate philanthropy in Asia, assists CAOF in establishing reliable and accountable partnerships in the growing non-profit sector in China. Currently providing grants to Chi Heng Foundation, China Orchid AIDS Project and the Amity Foundation. |
